I love that God speaks to us in so many ways. I love that He speaks to each of us differently. I love that He knows each of us so deeply, that He knows how we will each see and hear Him best. I hope through all of these encounters you will be able to recognize God’s presence in your life. I pray you are blessed today by Brooke’s story.

“The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.”

– Psalm 126:3

When my best friend calls me and we have the most hilarious conversation, when I ski down the slopes chasing my husband under the Big Sky, when I sing at the top of my lungs to old-school Newsboys, or when I go on a winter run with my mom and the glorious sun peeks out, I know He loves me.  When my Aunt Judy tells me to “Be kind to everyone” moments before she dies of cancer, when I witness my first nephew being born, when I receive a hand-written note saying she got baptized, or when someone I love gives me a much-needed hug, I know He loves me.

My encounters with Jesus seem a little more “ordinary” than let’s say someone who hears Jesus speak to them out loud, or someone who physically feels the Lord’s arms around them. My encounters with Him are everyday- it just takes some effort from me to recognize these gifts, celebrate them, and let myself be filled with His joy.

I feel the Lord’s boundless love and never-ending care through these slices of life. “The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.” – Psalm 126:3  It will always be my daily goal to not only acknowledge that they are from the Living God, but also praise Him with a grateful heart for these sacred gifts.
